A snail without a shell is like a slug.
It is vunerable to all elements- the sun, wind and rain. It does not have a house to go into at night, when the day's activities are over. It does not have a place to seek refuge from it's surroundings. It is a pathetic, soft, squishy creature with no protection.
I feel like a slug now =(
